LURAY — The next upcoming Red Cross blood drives are planned from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 and from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the American Legion Post 22 in Luray, adjacent to the Page Public Library.
All eligible donors, especially platelet donors and blood donors with type O blood, are urged to make an appointment to give in the coming days to help restock shelves for hospital patients.
Donors should have their Red Cross blood donor card, or another form of identification available.
For those planning ahead, below is a list of 2023 blood drive dates for the American Legion in Luray (next to Inn Lawn Park). All times are noon to 5 p.m., unless otherwise noted:
- Thursday, January 12 (1-6 p.m.)
- Wednesday, February 15
- Thursday, March 23
- Wednesday, April 12
- Thursday, May 25
- Wednesday, June 7
- Wednesday, July 26
- Thursday, August 17
- Wednesday, September 20
Eligible donors may schedule an appointment to donate by using the free Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.
