Christian Anthony Wentz, 73, of Elkton, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, in Harrisonburg. Christian was born January 21, 1950, in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the son of the late Betty Lucille Baugher Price. Besides his Mom, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lyle Wentz and Gregory Wentz; half-sister, Barbara Price; and his beloved dog of 15 years, “Jackson”.
Christian grew up in Shenandoah and was a 1969 graduate of Page County High School where he excelled in football and track. He loved the Shenandoah River and enjoyed canoeing, kayaking and grilling out while listening to music. He retired as a supervisor at Sullivan Mechanical after 40 years of service. He was a devoted husband, an amazing dad and loyal friend who will be missed by all those who loved him.
Christian is survived by his wife, Sarah Wentz; daughter, Berkley Elizabeth Wentz; brother, Mark Wentz and wife, Stephanie; and loved all his nieces whom he called his “B” girls; and his dog “Harper”.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2024.
