Cynthia June Taylor Tutt, 91, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
She was born on June 4, 1931, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Carl Edward Taylor and Maceo Porter Taylor.
Cynthia worked as a unit secretary for Inova Fairfax Hospital, retiring in 1989 with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Luray.
On January 23, 1960, she married Walter W. Tutt Jr., who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Walter JeJuan Tutt of Luray; three daughters, Gale Alease Warren (Leroy) of Forestville, Md., Lisha Elaine Lee (Gregory) of Gastonia, N.C., and Danielle Lyn Lucas (Frank) of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Keith Taylor (Lynette) of Manassas; two sisters, Gwendolyn Daniels of Atlanta, Ga., and Elaine Blakey (Robert) of Harrisonburg; seven grandchildren, Paul Coates (Barbara) of Timberville, Gregory Means of Denver, N.C., Shari Sanders (Janatry) of Leesburg, Amber Lee of Ashburn, Nicholas Lee of Gastonia, N.C., and Carlton Lucas and Sydney Lucas, both of Atlanta, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Aria Sanders and Sarai Sanders, both of Leesburg, and Chloe Means and Gabrielle Means, both of Denver, N.C.; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Tutt of Stafford.
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Curtis Tutt; two brothers, Hunter Taylor and Edwin Taylor; and a sister, Lois E. Tutt.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at St. John Baptist Church by Pastor Audre King and Pastor Mable Frye, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Luray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Baptist Church, 646 W. Main Street, Luray, Va. 22835.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
