LURAY, April 12 — Luray Police Department along with Shenandoah National Park Police started investigating allegations of videotaping a female without her consent. David Howard Wright II, was arrested by Luray Police Department for the crimes listed below:
• 18.2-386.1 Knowingly and intentionally videotape another when that person was totally nude (14 charges). Wright was arrested on these charges on June 22, 2022 and has been incarcerated since this date
• 18.2-386.2 Maliciously disseminate a video or still image that depicts another person who is totally nude. (10 charges) Wright was charged with these charges on July 20, 2022.
On April 12, 2023, David Howard Wright II, 51, pled guilty to these charges. He was sentenced to 24 years in prison with 20 years suspended. Wright has to serve four years of incarceration and has two years of active probation upon his release.
