May 23, 1991 — The Page School Board has delayed for a second time a decision on extending teachers’ required working hours from 8:20 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The motion to table the decision came at the board’s regular meeting Monday evening in a crowded, stifling Luray Elementary School library.
District 5 board member I.W. Good of Shenandoah said he felt the decision should be made by the entire board and the other three members present agreed. District 3 board member Sam Cubbage was out of town and unable to attend Monday’s meeting.
The issue will again be considered at a work session scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at the Luray High School auditorium.
