Age 89, Luray, Va.
Delorise Ann Waters, 89, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center. She was born on September 10, 1934, and was a daughter of the late Lemuel Ervin Waters and Beulah Middleton Waters.
Delorise was a graduate of Luray High School. She worked as a secretary in the law offices of J. Lynn Lucas, Stewart Farrar and George Shanks.
She was a member of the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray and was active in all Christian ministries of the church as long as she was able.
Delorise is survived by a brother, E. Leroy Waters of Luray; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Vivian Baker, Lucy Stephens and Lyda Seekford; four brothers, William “Dutch” Waters, Elbert Waters, Oliver Elwood Waters and Lemuel Waters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Mike Nichols, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Christian Academy.
