December 10, 1964 — It isn’t often that one man is honored as was Ralph M. Vaughan on Tuesday night, Dec.1.
He was installed as president of the Luray Ruritan Club and a little later, the same night, he was elected president of the Luray Fire Department. Both terms of office are for the year 1965.
Mr. Vaughan had served as vice president of the Ruritan Club during 1964. He has also been vice president of the Fire Department for a number of years. Since the death of president C.P. Harrell in April, he has been serving as president of the Fire Department.
There is, at least, one complication to being president of the two groups — both hold their regular meetings on the same night.
