Frances Rosella Grandstaff, 89, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
She was born on October 31, 1934, in Charles Town, WV, and was a daughter of the late Paul Dorsey and Mary Ramey Dorsey.
Frances was a member of the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church.
On September 10, 1954, she married Carroll Theodore “Ted” Grandstaff, who died on September 10, 2022.
She is survived by three daughters, Edie Grandstaff-Shaw of Bluemont, VA, Patsy McGraw of Nebo, NC, and Lynn Dubon of Hagerstown, MD; a son, Darrel Grandstaff of Colonial Beach; 10 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Carroll “Ted” Grandstaff; a son, Douglas Grandstaff; three brothers, Paul, Harry and Benny Dorsey; and three sisters, Nelly Viands, Mildred Deal and Peggy Nichols.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Mike Nichols.
The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m on Sunday, January 14, for those wishing to sign the guest book.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray or to the Rapidan Baptist Camp in Madison.
