Gaskins named Region 2B ‘Player of the Year’, 17 local athletes earn All-Region honors

LURAY, June 6 — Page County High School’s Bailee Gaskins was named Region 2B “Player of the Year” in softball when All-Region selections were announced last week. Gaskins was among 17 local athletes to earn a spot on the All-Region spring squads, including seven first team honorees.

Here are the local high school athletes selected by area coaches for Region 2B All-Region, as announced on June 6:

SOFTBALL

First Team

• Jocelyn Rinker (1B) — PCHS, senior
