Genevieve Bailey Dorraugh, 86, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
She was born on May 6, 1940, at home on Tanner’s Ridge in Stanley and was the oldest of five children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvah James and Naomi Offenbacker Bailey; a sister, Donna Gail Bailey; her brother-in-law, Carl Fox; and a nephew, Gregory Bailey.
Genevieve retired from Wrangler with 47 years of service. She was a charter member of the Luray Moose Lodge and a member of the New Market Eagles. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed trips to Charles Town, WV, with her brother, Larry.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Sue Fisher and husband Jeff of Stanley; a granddaughter, Abigail Rose Lam and husband Nick of Stanley; her siblings, Marlene Fox, Jerry Bailey and wife Nicole, and Larry Bailey, all of Luray; a nephew, Anthony Fox and wife Tina; a niece, Melissa Jones; several great nephews and nieces, Cory Fox and wife Deanna, Chelsea Sabau and husband Zach, Courtney Yager and husband Sonny, Jerelyn Bailey, Trucker Aleshire and wife Bobbi, Catherine Bailey, Blake Jones, Lacie Jones Hammer and Matthew Jones; as well as numerous great great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at the Stanley Fire Hall.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
