Grand jury issues 53 indictments in November

LURAY, Nov. 6 — A Page County grand jury handed down 53 indictments during Wednesday’s November session in Page County Circuit Court among 20 individuals, including:

Douglas Wayne Sours, of Shenandoah, was indicted on three Class 5 felonies of involuntary manslaughter involving alcohol. All three offenses took place on Aug. 15, 2019, according to court documents. Sours was arrested Jan. 15, 2020. The next court date in the case has not been set.

Abe Lyle Manske, of Shenandoah, was indicted on 12 counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 6 felony. The offense took place on Feb. 29, 2020, according to court documents. Manske was arrested on July 7, 2020. Manske will appear in court again on Jan. 6, 2021, for further proceedings.

Melody Kay Miller, of Staunton, was indicted on five felony counts of grand larceny. While the arrest date for all charges was listed as Feb. 6, 2020 in court documents, the offense dates were listed as Jan. 1, 2014 (three charges), Jan. 1, 2015 and Jan. 1, 2017. No date was listed for further court proceedings in the case.

Chad Gordon Morris, of Grottoes, was indicted on two felony charges of grand larceny with a value greater than or equal to $500, and one Class 1 misdemeanor charge of destruction of property with intent with a value less than $1,000. According to court documents, the date of the offense was June 18, 2020, with an arrest date of Aug. 7, 2020. No future date was listed for further court proceedings.

Charles Clayton Bradley, of Stanley, was indicted on a Class 1 felony for pettit larceny, and a Class 1 misdemeanor for destruction of property with intent with a value of less than $1,000. According to court documents, both offenses occurred on May 5, 2020, with an arrest date of May 9, 2020. Bradley is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 2 for further proceedings.

Michael William Morris, of Shenandoah, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug, a Class 5 felony, as well as unauthorized possession of drug paraphanalia (Class 1 misdemeanor) and public swearing/intoxication (Class 4 misdemeanor). According to court documents, the offenses occurred on Sept. 12, 2020, with an arrest on the same day. No future date was given for further court proceedings.

John Joseph McClure, of Stanley, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony) and two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle (Class 6 felony). According to court documents, the drug possession occurred on Feb. 27, 2019, with an arrest date of Jan. 12, 2020. The two charges for stolen vehicles occurred on May 30, 2019, with an arrest date of June 26, 2019. In addition, McClure faces three additional charges of failure to appear in court (Class 1 misdemeanor) on Nov. 4. McClure is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 2 for further proceedings on all charges.

Billy Wayne Thomas Jr., of Luray, was indicted on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony) and one count of possession of marijuana – second or more offense (Class 1 misdemeanor). According to court documents, the offense and arrest occurred on Jan. 10, 2020. The next date for court proceedings in the case was not listed.

Ashby Harrison Atkins, of Luray, was indicted on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, one offense and arrest occurred on Oct. 4, 2020; while the other offense occurred on Oct. 13, 2019, with an arrest date of June 22, 2020. Atkins is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 18 for further proceedings.

Kendall Robert Beaty, of Luray, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony), and driving with a revoked or suspended license (Class 1 misdemeanor). According to court documents, the drug offense occurred on Sept. 21, 2020, with an arrest date of Sept. 29, 2020; while the driving offense and arrest occurred on Sept. 16, 2020. Beaty is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 9 for further proceedings.

Joshua Ryan Breeden, of Luray, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony), and unauthorized possession of drug paraphanalia (Class 1 misdemeanor). According to court documents, the offense and arrest date for both charges is Feb. 28, 2020. Breeden is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 2 for further proceedings.

Donald Ray Good Jr., of Shenandoah, was indicted on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, one offense occurred on Oct. 5, 2019, with an arrest date of July 30, 2020; while the other offense and arrest occurred on Aug. 13, 2020. Good is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 18 for further proceedings.

Amanda Belle Matteson, of Luray, was indicted on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offenses occurred on May 2, 2020 and Oct. 21, 2020, with an arrest date for both of Oct. 21, 2020. Matteson is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 24 for further proceedings.

Shane Aaron Price, of Shenandoah, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offense occurred on Nov. 6, 2019, with an arrest date of July 24, 2020. The next court date in the case was not listed.

Jessica Ann Richards, of Luray, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offense occurred on June 4, 2020, with no arrest date listed. The next court date in the case was also not listed.

Tiffany Louise Via, of Luray, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offense occurred on July 7, 2020, with an arrest on Oct. 22, 2020. Via is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 9 for further court proceedings.

Tabatha Lynae Williams (aka – “Tabitha”), of Elkton, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offense occurred on Oct. 1, 2019, with an arrest date of Sept. 6, 2020. The next court date in the case was also not listed.

Cameron Lee Tiller, of Luray, was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (Class 5 felony). According to court documents, the offense occurred on Dec. 17, 2019, with an arrest date of Aug. 21, 2020. The next court date in the case was also not listed.

Derek Michael McDaniel, of Stanley, was indicted for making a false statement on a criminal history consent (Class 5 felony), and buying a gun while personally subject to a protection order (Class 1 misdemeanor). According to court documents, the offenses occurred on July 31, 2020, with an arrest date of Aug. 12, 2020. The next court date in the case was also not listed.

Dustin William Foltz, of Shenandoah, was indicted for violent felony possession/transportation of a weapon. According to court documents, the offense and arrest occurred on Sept. 19, 2020. Foltz is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 18 for further proceedings.
