Dear editor,
The American Legion Post #22 would like to send its happy Mother’s Day wishes to all of the mothers, but especially to those who have one or more children serving on active duty in our nation’s great military.
It is fitting that we express our sincere thoughts of appreciation to them this Mother’s Day for the daily sacrifices they experience.
Our Post sends our very special sentiment of gratitude to all Gold Star Mothers, those mothers who are suffering the loss of a child who was actively serving our country’s military.
We can only imagine the heartache and pain that they experience daily, but we cannot possibly understand the never-ending feelings of that very personal loss they must be feeling on this, and every Mother’s Day.
For this, their greatest of loss, we express our strongest and most sincere condolences.
For God and Country,
Richard Worrell, Commander, American Legion Post #22 ~ Luray, Va.
