July 13, 1961 — The A.L. Jobe Store in Springfield District, where an assault and robbery occurred better than a year ago, has been sold to Lynn Cullers, also of the Springfield District. The store handles general merchandise and Mr. Cullers will take over Saturday.

The business was started more than 50 years ago by the late W.M. Cullers, a member of the Page County Board of Supervisors. Located at a different site, the store burned and was rebuilt at its present site within a stone’s throw of all three owners.

In a way, the business is still in the family, since Mr. Jobe married Mr. Culler’s daughter, who ran the store herself for three years, and Lynn Cullers is a son of Mr. Cullers.
