Julia “Ann” Seekford Jarvis, 66, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
She was born on November 22, 1959, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Seekford Sr. and Janet Virginia Cline Seekford.
Ann had worked as the manager at Pizza Hut for more than 10 years until her grandchildren were born and then she was a full-time MawMaw. She was a member of the Luray Christian Church.
On December 1, 1990, she married Charles Dale Jarvis, who died on March 16, 2016.
Ann is survived by a daughter, Krystle Ann Buracker and husband Randy; a stepson, Jonathan Jarvis; two brothers, Brian Keith Seekford and Robert Lee Seekford Jr.; and two grandchildren, Koltin Jarvis and Raevyn Buracker. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Brenda; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Avis Seekford.
Ann was blessed with a lifelong best friend, Beth Alger and husband Steve. She had a special caregiver, Madison Williams, and was “MawMaw Ann” to Greyson, Reagan, and Layne Hottinger.
Ann loved her grand babies more than anything in this world, and was always at any activity they were involved in. You could hear her cheering loudly at Raevyn’s softball games or saw her riding Koltin around listening to music! There were very few conversations she had with people that didn’t include talking about her babies.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
