Legion still seeks Gold, Blue Star families for Veterans Day ceremony

American Legion logo

Dear Editor:

I write today to ask you to remind our Page County citizens that the Miller-Campbell-Baker American Legion Post #22 will be conducting its annual Veterans Day program on Saturday, November 11, beginning at 11 a.m. We will gather at the Post on Zerkel Street, Luray.

During this program, the Post plans to honor all Gold Star families, along with all Blue Star families from Page County. To date, we have not heard from any of those families wishing to be so honored. Our intent is to present each family with a Gold Star or Blue Star banner, and a special certificate as appropriate to each.

For those Gold Star and Blue Star families wishing to be so honored, please contact Post #22 Commander at 540-843-2565, or by e-mail to alpost22@yahoo.com. Thank you.

For God and Country

Richard Worrell, American Legion Commander ~ Miller-Campbell-Baker Post #22, Luray, Va.
