Mark Alan Shenk, 58, of Stanley, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 11, 2026.
He was born on June 28, 1967 in Harrisonburg, Va., to the late Melvin Lee Shenk and Margaret Marie Knight May.
On September 24, 2004, he married Stephanie Arrington Shenk, who survives.
Mark attended Page County High Shool, and, following school, worked for Breeden Mechanical Inc. for 40 years.
From an early age, Mark was an avid outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed carpentry and woodworking and could be found on many weekends in his garage completing projects for his wife.
Mark is survived by a daughter, Ashley Shenk; two sons, Brian Shenk and Koty Gray; a brother, Michael Shenk (Debbie); four sisters, Connie Walters, Melinda Durette, Victoria Buracker and Teresa Stuart; three grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Shenk.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Forward For Christ Baptist Church by Pastor Josh Parlett and Pastor Alan Jones, with visitation one hour prior from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity close to your heart.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
