Age 85, Merritt Island, Fla.
Mary Lou Blomgren Anderholm, 85, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on Friday October 27th, 2023, at Life Care Center of New Market. She was born in Chicago Illinois to George and Lucille Blomgren on December 14th, 1937.
She and her family would spend their summers in Duluth, MN where she attended St. Scholastica College and met the love of her life and her future husband, Curt Anderholm, who was attending the University Of Minnesota in Duluth. They were married on August the 11th, 1959. When they both graduated, they moved to Chicago where Curt attended Northwestern University. It was in Chicago that they started their family and welcomed John followed a year later by Chris. After graduation, Mary Lou and Curt moved their young family to Albuquerque, NM where Mary Beth Anderholm was born.
They moved to the Washington DC area in 1973 before finally settling in Merritt Island, FL where they resided since 1984.
She was predeceased by her husband Curt, who passed away last year on October 21. She is survived by her children, John and Chris Anderholm and daughter Mary Elizabeth Lucks of Stanley; six grandchildren, Dylan, Catie and Callie of Medina, OH, Paige and Jacob of Greensboro, NC and Rachael of Luray, who is the mother of Mary Lou’s great grandson Trey. She found great joy in Trey, and he was the light in her eye.
She will be interred together with her husband Curt, during a memorial service at Mt St Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown, PA. Details are still being arranged.
