This is Barnaby…
Barnaby came to the shelter as a stray and is about 12 years old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Barnaby is the kind of cat who carries a quiet story in the way he moves. As a stray, he was more familiar with alleyways and long nights than soft beds and gentle voices. When he first arrived, he was shy, unsure, and a little wary of the world around him. These days, Barnaby has settled into a slower rhythm. You’ll often find him curled up in perfect loaf form, tucked neatly into his bed, content to spend most of the day simply resting.
There’s something peaceful about the way he sleeps, like he’s finally allowing himself to exhale after years of surviving on his own. However, the moment he catches the scent of Churu or wet food, he perks up with surprising enthusiasm. His reserved nature softens, and he leans into affection. Even if his vision isn’t what it used to be, his nose never lets him down.
Barnaby especially enjoys soft head scratches, leaning into them with quiet appreciation. For anyone looking for a peaceful companion, Barnaby is a gentle soul who asks for very little and gives back a quiet kind of love.
