This is Piper!
Piper is an 8-year-old-chocolate lab surrendered to us when her owner could no longer care for her. She struggles as she is overweight and in a bit of rough shape. But she is getting weight management food, outside activity, and lots of love and care.
Piper is a goofball love bug with her human companions. With her expressive brown eyes and perpetually wagging tail, she charms everyone she meets. Her floppy ears seem to have a mind of their own, often flopping in different directions as she trots along. She enjoys her time outside, snuffling around the ground looking for truffles like an adorable piglet.
She does not seem to do well with other dogs, maybe due to her not being socialized as a puppy, or possibly having a negative encounter with other dogs before she came to us. She absolutely adores people and getting as many cuddles and smooches in as she can.
If you’d like to be Piper’s forever home ,
please send the shelter an email inquiry or call the Page County Animal Shelter at (540) 778-2101. Please keep an eye out for our email reply. Sometimes they find their way to the spam/junk folder.
