LURAY — The Mental Health Mondays program started at the West Luray Rec Center in July, begins a three-month series on Self Care tonight (Oct. 4) at 7 p.m. The first session this evening will address BURNOUT.
Stress can come from jobs, caretaking, the pandemic, social media… or simply LIFE!
For the next three months, Elisabeth Alger (and some guests) will be discussing ways to maintain positive mental health throughout the holiday season. Come learn how to spot the signs and learn ways to cope with burnout.
Speakers will be in-person and plan to also be on Facebook Live. For those attending in person on West Main Street in Luray — masks and social distancing are recommended, regardless of vaccination status.
Mental Health Mondays began in July as free bimonthly programs that offers a safe space for people to share and learn, directs people to appropriate resources, and educates the community on mental health issues. The program on the first Monday of each month is geared toward adults, as where the program on the third Monday of the month is aimed at children.
