Age 74, Luray, Va.
Peggy Jean Goodwin, 74, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
She was born on September 2, 1949, and was the wife of the late Samuel Robert Goodwin Jr. and a daughter of the late Harry Irvin Gochenour and Naomi Ruth (Shenk) Gochenour.
Peggy is survived by a son, Shawn Robert Goodwin of Washington, D.C., and his two children, Bryan and Crystel; a daughter, Debra Sue Jones (Steven) of Luray, and their daughter, Lily; a brother, Harry Irvin Gochenour Jr. (Deborah) of Stanley; and two sisters, Brenda Lee Majors of Stanley, and Phyllis Gail Coffman of Stephens City; nieces and nephews.
Peggy marched to her own drum and maintained her individuality all her life. She loved God and read her Bible daily, and played her keyboard wholeheartedly. She was a stay-at-home mom after her car accident in 1978 and will be remembered for her smile and sense of humor. Sending hugs always.
