Robert Franklin Hensley

Age 78, Elkton, Va.

Robert Franklin Hensley, 78, of Elkton, passed away March 11, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Hensley was born July 23, 1945 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Lonnie Albert and Iva Virginia Meadows Hensley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean (Gordon) Hensley; sisters, Evelyn Hammer, Betty Hensley. 

Mr. Hensley lived most of his life in the Elkton area and enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. He owned and operated RJ Builders for many years. He was an amazing Dad and brother who will be missed by all those who loved him.

Mr. Hensley is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Jo Hensley of Elkton; brothers, Ronald Hensley of Shenandoah, Lonnie Hensley Jr., Randall Hensley, James Steven Hensley, Mark Anthony Hensley, all of Elkton; sisters, Linda Breeden and husband, Bobby, Catherine Lam, both of Elkton. 

In honoring his wishes, all services will be private.
