Roger Max Somers, 81, of Luray, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023.
He was born on June 28, 1942, and was a son of the late Leo Joseph Somers and Elna Cave Harling.
Roger was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Somers Auto Sales and was a member of the Ida Grove Gospel Church.
He is survived by a son, Jarrett Max Somers of Forest; a brother, Tom Somers of Luray; three grandsons, Mark Alexander Somers, Trevor James Somers and Zephaniah Somers; and an aunt, Marlene Bell.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Somers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 6, at the Mount Zion Church of the Brethren by the Rev. Pete Campbell, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
Roger M Somers, was truly a wonderful man, He was a free spirited man,and loved life. He had a kind heart and we never seen him without smile on his face. He enjoy traveling and loved his old cars. Donny and I will miss him. We will see you again my friend.
