Ronnie Wendall Cubbage, 83, of Stanley, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
He was born on November 7, 1940, in Stanley and was a son of the late William Lake Cubbage and Geneva Florence Good Cubbage.
Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Army.
On November 17, 1968, he married Nellie Louise “Pat” Hill Cubbage, who died on November 6, 2017.
Ronnie is survived by a daughter, Melissa Campbell and husband J.D. of Stanley; two sons, Michael Knight and wife Nina of Stanley, and Bruce Knight and wife Katherine of Concord, N.C.; a sister, Geraldine Good of Stanley; three brothers, Douglas, Aldine and Frankie Cubbage, all of Stanley; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah Knight, Josh Knight, Adam Knight, Erin Knight Gilleland, Laura Knight Beebe, Dustin Campbell, Heather Campbell, Savannah Campbell and Mackenzie Campbell, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Connie Cubbage; and a grandson, Christopher Knight.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, at the Stanley Baptist Church by Evangelist Jeff Lucas. Burial will be in the Cubbage Family Cemetery in Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 29, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Page County High School Softball Program.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
