Sherry Short Plum, 70, of Shenandoah, VA passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Skyview Springs Rehab and Nursing Center in Luray, Va. Sherry was born on September 20, 1955 in Rockingham County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Donald Short and Elois “Shifflett” Short.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Lynwood Plum; brother, Timmy Short; and grandson, Mason Plum.
Sherry had many interests and passions. She enjoyed time in the kitchen, while cooking, baking and canning. She was an avid reader. Mostly, she cherished her time spent and dinners with her family.
Sherry is survived by her life partner, Edward Enterline, Sr.; son, Scott Plum and Miranda Turner; stepson, Edward Enterline, Jr.; daughter, Amanda Kibler and husband, Kim; sister, Christy McAlister and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Brittany Fox, Mariah Plum, and Hayden Plum; great-grandchild, Paisley Sams; one great-grandchild on the way; lap cat, Scooty; grand fur babies, Buggy, Macie, and Chewbacca; special nieces and nephews, Cory Short, Carissa Short, and Catie McAlister; special great-nieces and nephews, Colton Short and Eliyana Samuels; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Shenandoah Pentecostal Church with Pastor Jimmy Kite officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
