TOWN OF STANLEY
PUBLIC HEARING FOR VARIANCE REQUEST
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, November 4th at 7 p.m. at the Stanley Town Office, 278 East Main Street, for the purpose of considering the following request.
A request from Mr. Joseph Mathews for a variance of two feet on the side yard fence height requirement. The property owner is requesting an eight-foot fence whereby Town code allows side yard fence’s a height only up to six feet. The property is zoned Medium Density Residential and is located on West Main Street with tax map number 71A4-A-7.
The property is bounded on the West by Allen and Shania Basnight, Mrs. Dixie Couch and the Donald Turner Estate, and on the East by Carroll and Maxine Cubbage, Ms. Marylynn Bostic and Ms. Sara Miller.
Citizens of the Town of Stanley are encouraged to attend this hearing and express their views and comments. Anyone unable to attend the meeting may leave written comments at the Stanley Town Office during normal business hours or by email at tpettit@townofstanley.com.
Also, anyone with special needs who wishes to attend, please contact the Town Office at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing.
