STANLEY — This Saturday the Town of Stanley will host a Fall Festival featuring arts, crafts, children’s activities, food, drinks and a free movie at Hawksbill Park.
The arts and crafts event will feature 21 vendors showcasing their local weirs, as well as some direct sales products.
Children’s activities will be offered from 3 to 6 p.m., including face painting, balloon twisting, pumpkin painting and a duck game for toddlers. In addition, the Page Alliance for Community Action (PACA) will offer a free movie at 7 p.m. — “Casper” — as well as free popcorn during the film.
The Town of Stanley will be selling hot dogs, chips, drinks, cotton candy and popcorn throughout the afternoon. All proceeds from food sales will benefit the town’s Recreation Department.
There will also be a small Chinese auction of donated items.
“Come out and support your local vendors,” Stanley Recreation Director Teri Beers said. “It should be a great day with something for everyone. We hope to see you there.”
The Town of Stanley’s Recreation Department is still accepting vendor applications for Saturday’s event.
Call the Town Office at (540) 778-3454 and ask for either Teri Beers or Leon Stout.
