Luray High School junior running back Kenny Frye scored three touchdowns against visiting Skyline on Friday night. Frye found the end zone after runs of 1, 15 and 41 yards. He rushed for a total of 130 yards on the night, as Luray moved to 4-0.

Frye got a few more touches on Friday night, and he made the most of it. The junior also plays tough on defense as part of a stellar linebacking corps.

The PVN Sports crew, who provided commentary to the NFHS livestream of the Luray-Skyline game, selected Frye as the Blue Ridge Bank “Player of the Game”.

The Bulldogs’ road trip to Stuarts Draft this Friday night was cancelled Tuesday afternoon due to “COVID protocols within the [LHS] football program,” according to a notice sent out by LHS Athletic Director Don Ehlers. Luray’s next game will be Friday, Oct. 8, when the Bulldogs host Central (Woodstock) for a key Bull Run District matchup.
