CULPEPER, Aug. 15 — Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in Page County. The crash occurred Friday, Aug. 11, at 4:04 p.m. on US Highway 211 approximately a mile west of US Highway 340.
A 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on Route 211 when it failed to maneuver a curve, ran off the left side of the roadway, and collided with a concrete barrier. [The accident occurred descending the eastern slope of the Massanutten mountain range, near the George Washington National Forest.]
The rider of the motorcycle, Cameron L. Weaver, 21, of Lebanon, Va., died at the scene of the crash due to his injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
