Stephen Tyler Harner

Age 72, Rileyville, Va.

Stephen Tyler Harner, 72, of Rileyville, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Page Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 2, 1952, in Trenton, NJ, and was a son of Harlan Harner and the late Helen Malone Harner. 

Stephen proudly served his country in the Navy. Following his service, he worked as a supervisor for the Northern Virginia Regional Park, where he cultivated his love for landscaping and gardening. 

Steve was known as a loyal friend whose friendships lasted decades, a Harley Davison enthusiast who loved the open air, and a man who loved to carry a tune or crack a good joke.

His beloved wife, Lynn Harner, preceded him in death.

Surviving in addition to his father are two brothers, Jeffrey and Brian Harner; and a sister, Laurie Warden. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Harner.

Services are planned for a later date.
