Age 87, Luray, Va.
Ted Wayne Spitler passed away on August 22, 2022 due to complications from multiple strokes at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyn and Page Spitler, and his wife of 57 years, Eulayne Bradford Spitler.
Ted was born in February of 1935 and grew up in McLean and Luray, Virginia. He loved being close to the mountains. Fishing, golfing, hunting, and woodworking were among the many things he enjoyed.
Ted served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, worked for the U.S. Postal Service, a GM assembly plant, and in residential and commercial construction many years.
He leaves behind four sons, Michael, Jason (Denise), Randall, and David; as well as six grandchildren, Leslie, Bryan, Laurie, Travis, Victoria, and Brittney; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
