LURAY, Dec. 1 — Three members of the Luray High School football team have earned All-Region B honors following voting earlier this week. Coaches cast their ballots following Central’s 21-6 win over Stuarts Draft on Friday night to take the Falcons’ first-ever region title in football.
LHS junior Brady Jenkins was the only local first team selection for the Region 2B squad, earning a spot as an all-purpose offensive player. Jenkins also earned a spot on the second team defense as a linebacker.
LHS senior Landen Dahnert earned a spot on the second team as a defensive end, while junior Kenny Frye was a second team selection as an all-purpose defensive player.
Central’s Ashton Baker was named the Region B Offensive Player of the Year, while Stuarts Draft’s Aaron Nice was named the Region B Defensive Player of the Year.
