The second annual Trout Fishing Tournament to benefit the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department and Page Valley Lodge 65 of the Fraternal Order of the Police will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1 along the Hawksbill Creek in Luray.
There will be $1,000 in cash prizes awarded, if appropriate tagged fish are caught. A variety of door prizes will also be awarded. Gift certificates will be awarded to the first 20 anglers who check in their limit of six trout.
Registration and check-in starts at 6 a.m. at 1 Commuter Court in Luray. The fishing area includes the section of the Hawksbill Creek from the Mechanic Street Bridge to the North Loop of the Luray-Hawksbill Greenway.
Registration is $30.
