Stephanie Lillard and Ron Vickers talk about issues, role of mayor

LURAY, Sept. 25 — This week, we once again visit Jenkins Hall at Laurel Ridge Community College to host a second forum among local candidates — this one for Mayor of Luray.
Current members of the Luray Council — who sit side-by-side in Council chambers — Stephanie Lillard and Ron Vickers will answer a series of questions about their potential role as mayor and issues surrounding the Town of Luray. During the 40-minute discussion (framed more like a candidate forum), the two candidates will give their opinions on issues such as leadership, housing, parks, police, the Greenway, small business, and Main Street.
(The 2024 PVN Debate for Mayor of Luray was recorded on Monday, Sept. 23 at Laurel Ridge Community College’s Jenkins Hall in Luray, and first aired Wednesday, Sept. 25).
