Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues in the Page Valley, while also reporting the Week in Review and checking out the Weekend Ahead

LURAY, Feb. 21 — When Jerry Dofflemyer won a two-way race to become Mayor of Luray in 2020, Stephanie Lillard was appointed to fill Dofflemyer’s vacancy on the Luray Council in early 2021. Now that the mayor has decided not to run for another four-year term, Lillard has gathered signatures, filed her paperwork and been qualified to appear on the ballot in the 2024 election.

Lillard has won two elections to keep her council seat, and now she’s going for the gavel. During our interview, we’ll ask her about her motivations for running for mayor and what she hopes to accomplish if elected. We’ll also ask about Luray’s biggest challenges, its greatest assets, and what’s she’s learned during her three years on council.

Lillard also plays “The 5Ws” with us and reveals who inspired her to enter public service, her proudest moment on council, and where she likes to take the family in Luray.

As always, we’ll look back at “the week that was” in the Page Valley with a review of news headlines and sports, and we’ll tell you about some upcoming events to look out for this weekend.

(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 14 was recorded on Monday, Feb. 19 and first aired Wednesday, Feb. 21).

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… next week we’ll talk with the second candidate to file paperwork in the race for Mayor of Luray, Ron Vickers.
