Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, July 23 — This week we sit down with Luray High School rising senior Connor Hilliard to talk about his verbal commitment to play baseball for the Dukes of James Madison University. Hilliard is the first Luray baseball player to get a Division I offer in 20 years. Current Spotswood High School head coach Marcus Davis was the last one, when the LHS alum signed with the Rams of VCU in 2005.
(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 78 was recorded Tuesday, July 22, and first aired Wednesday, July 23).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll sit down with an LHS student who spent some time living and learning abroad in Germany; we’ll learn about some old traditions at the Mauck Meeting House; and we’ll try to capture the sights and sounds of the Page Valley Fair.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
