Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, June 25 — This week we visit with Jim and Judi McNeely to tour their historic Luray home, the Ruffner House, celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. Jim is an eighth generation descendant of Peter Ruffner Sr., who moved his family to the Valley in 1739. His grandson Isaac would donate land for the first 16 lots that would become the Town of Luray. We’ll start out in the graveyard (dating back 250 years) and work our way inside the historic home before heading out back to the waterfall the McNeelys created since purchasing the home in 1999.

(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 74 was recorded Tuesday, June 24, and first aired Wednesday, June 25).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit a few local events, like the Stanley Homecoming and Luray’s Downtown Get Down, before sitting down with a college athlete who performed well at the Division I level and was recently honored by her Big10 alma mater.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
