Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, March 26 — This week we visit Hawksbill Park for the Town of Stanley’s annual Trout Day and first Car, Truck & Bike Show. Dozens of local youth showed up with their folks to fish for rainbow and golden trout, while more than 50 entries were on display at the car show.
We talk with Police Chief Ryan Dean about his purpose for sponsoring Trout Day for youth over the past eight years, and with Parks and Rec Director Teri Beers about her plans to continue the car show and when the Hawksbill Pool will open.
We also talk with several young anglers about their hauls out of the Little Hawksbill Creek, and several car owners about what they put into their “beauties.”
(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 63 was recorded Saturday, March 22, and first aired Wednesday, March 26).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… next week we’ll be talking with a Luray woman who was clinically dead for 24 minutes and lived to write a book about it.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
