Age 80, Front Royal, Va.
John Radford Brodnax, 80, of Front Royal, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born on December 19, 1945, in Georgia and was a son of the late Ransom Lester Brodnax and Bessie Smith Brodnax.
John was a member of the Fauquier Lions Club.
On April 4, 1996, he married Sherry Powers Atkins Brodnax, who survives.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by a daughter, Teri Sisk and husband Michael; a son, Henry Atkins; a sister, Dora Garrett; five grandchildren, Daniel Sisk, Harman Sisk, Trea Atkins and wife Anna, Dylan Atkins and wife Nicole, and Liam Atkins; two great-grandchildren, Atlee Atkins and Henry Atkins; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Thompson and Dorothy Fairly.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Detrick Cemetery in Fort Valley.
