The cable company is upgrading wiring, so they can charge you more. That is an assumption. No official information has been shared.
Paint markings, designating where utilities are located “before you dig” were in place. They’ve mostly washed away.
Next a guy put red flags out on all the lawns. They are beyond the town’s right of way, even considering that the bus turn around in front of my house was expanded by VDOT (without notification) and the waste asphalt was dumped in the storm drainage basin across the street. The flags have been lost/displaced/moved as lawns were mowed.
I’m not “calling” the cable company or their subcontractor, on my home phone, and wasting hours of my time, to discuss their waste of dollars.
By the same token, I was not pleased to learn you can not call Page County to find out what the taxes are on your home/property after the last property tax reassessment. My “bill” goes to the mortgage company. I was told that after they pay the bill I will find out on that month’s statement.
If anyone can do whatever the heck they like here, then so can I. Fight for change!

Recent reassessment revives popular Page sport…blaming ‘outsiders’
You can figure out your tax amount by taking the reassessment figure and multiplying it by the tax rate approved in the last budget cycle. The new reassessment value was mailed to property owners, so they would have the ability to appeal if they disagreed with the new assessment. The tax rate is available on the county website. The rest is 10 seconds on a calculator. Hope that helps.
