Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley

LURAY, April 15 — This week we stroll along the banks of the Hawksbill Creek near Downtown Luray in search of successful anglers at the 22nd annual Youth Trout Derby held on Saturday, April 11. We’ll talk with young anglers as they show off their day’s catch — from “Goldies” and “Tigers”, to monster “Rainbows” approaching 5 pounds.
We’ll also talk with the superintendent of Luray’s Parks and Rec Department, Jen Jenkins, and local outdoorsman, conservationist and author of the column “Nature’s Notebook”, Dylan Cooper, about the importance of outdoor events like this for the entire family.

Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit Luray’s Arbor Day and 25th anniversary celebration of the Luray-Hawksbill Greenway, and we’ll discuss upcoming local events planned around the 250th anniversary of our nation.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.
