Emilee Weakley scored a game-high 28 points in the Bulldogs’ rout of Mt. View, 66-26, on Tuesday night. The Shepherd University signee has lead the Bulldogs in scoring throughout six consecutive wins to start the 2021-22 season.
Luray (6-0) is ranked #1 among 2A schools in Virginia for girls basketball, according to MaxPreps.com
The Bulldogs are currently ranked #4 statewide across all six classifications.
Luray is hoping for a third-consecutive trip to the 2A state championship, where they claimed the school’s first state title in girls basketball last season. Weakley earned 2A “Player of the Year” honors, while head coach Joe Lucas was named the 2A “Coach of the Year.”
