Winifred May Robb Kerkhoff passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, with her daughters by her side.
She was born on February 6, 1931, in New York City, New York, to William Hill Robb and Charlotte May Lindsay Robb. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Yonkers; and husband Kenneth Kerkhoff.
Winnie graduated high school in New York and was a member of Alpha Delta Sigma Sorority. She had an exciting career as a ground hostess for VIPs for BOAC and American Airlines out of LaGuardia Airport, Queens, NY.
She leaves behind two daughters, Charlotte May Kerkhoff Housden-Kemp (Greg Kemp), and Pamela Robb Kerkhoff Buracker (Mike Seal), both of Luray, Va. Winnie was a loving grandmama to Matthew Blair Housden, Lindsay Robb Housden, David Lane Housden, Rebecca Kirsten Griffith, and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Luray United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 16, at 1 p.m.
