August 27, 1965 — Wolfe’s Super Market at Shenandoah was entered Monday night about 11 p.m. and an unknown quantity of merchandise taken. Shenandoah police chief S.A. Smith found the establishment open on his tour and called Deputy Sheriff A. Lee Huffman.
Sheriff Huffman said that evidently the thieves became alarmed and left hurriedly since several bags of merchandise were found in the building apparently prepared to take out. The entrance was effected by breaking the glass in the door.
No arrest had been made at time of going to press.
