September 7, 1989“Forty-two years of full-time employment with the same company — few people can claim that kind of dedication to an employer and to the community in which they live.”

That was Page Memorial Hospital administrator T.J. Padden’s comment about Leslie Earl Strickler, who completed 42 years of service to the hospital last Thursday.

Strickler began semi-retirement Friday by transferring to part-time and working as needed at the hospital.

A registered radiology technologist and laboratory technologist, Strickler began work at PMH Sept. 1, 1947 in the old hospital on South Court Street.

Strickler plans to spend more time with his family and catch up on fishing.
