July 28, 1958 — Alcoholic Beverage Control board agents stopped the operation of 910 illegal stills in Virginia during the fiscal year which ended June 30 and confiscated 25,599 gallons of whiskey and 567,636 gallons of mash, the board reported last week.
The ABC Board’s enforcement division also seized 326 automobiles and trucks valued at $138,636, and 98,725 pounds of sugar, worth $8,391. The value of the stills was placed at $194,495..
