September 14, 1961 — An attempted robbery of the Luray ABC store on Thursday night of last week yielded nothing but some cuts and bruises and a few days in the Page County Jail.
The pair attempted to enter the ABC Store after midnight by cutting the glass in the front door.
The door, however, is equipped with a double lock and attempts to unlock from the inside merely resulted in more cuts from the edges of the glass.
The attempted entering was discovered by police and arrests followed.
