Allen Buford Painter passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 at home in Silver Spring, MD.
He was the beloved son of the late Buford G. and Vera M. Painter and the brother of late sister Barbara (Jerry) Purdy; brother of Maxine (Herbert) Anderson, Judith (Carl) Riedy, Paulette (Harley) Husted and Charles (Trina) Painter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd West, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, May 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. An additional viewing will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, 187 Main Street East, Luray, VA on Friday, May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a funeral service on Saturday, May 22 at 11am. An interment will follow at the Painter Family Cemetery, Stanley, VA.
