Alma actions

Old country road

March 6, 1891 — Farmers have been very busy this week plowing for their spring crop, but the snow will stop them for a few days.

Corn is very scarce around here; Mr. John W. Seekford shipped 50 bushes from Rileyville a few days ago.

The schools are thriving, especially the one taught by our estimable young friend, Joseph W. Huffman.

The Rev. J.W. Hausenfluck is very ill at his residence in Alma.

There will be singing at Boston School House next Sunday evening at 2 o’clock, conducted by Profs. I.N. Short and W.P. Strickler.

Elder Dalton preached an able sermon here on the fourth Sunday to a large congregation.
