April 28, 1887 — The barn on the farm of the late Capt. Jos. Keyser was destroyed by fire about 1 o’clock last Tuesday night, together with a large lot of hay, 50 barrels of corn, two horses, wagon, buggy, drill and other farm implements.

The fire is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary.

The property belonged to Mr. N.H. Keyser, Esq., of Rappahannock, and was in the possession of Mr. C.L. Lawler at the time of the fire.

Mr. Morgan Jenkins’ barn, situate near Kimball, in this county, was burned on last Sunday night.

The fire occurred between nine and 10 o’clock, and is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary.

We have not heard any estimate of the loss.
